New Michigan Workers Compensation and Michigan Unemployment Commission

Workers Compensation

As of August, The Michigan Workers' Compensation Appellate Commission and The Michigan Employment Security Board of Review will be merged. The merging stems from a executive order from Governor Rick Snyder. The newly formed commission will consider appeals from Michigan Unemployment and Michigan Workers Compensation law.

Governor Rick Snyder is in charge of electing the nine members for the commission. Appeals that are heard will be given to three members of the new commission. The decision reached will be final unless all of the other six members request that the matter be reviewed by all 9 members.
