Deadly Semi-Accident Closes I-96

It's the time of year where the temperatures drop and the road conditions become more and more dangerous. Just driving around town the last few days I've seen numerous accidents and the potential for many more.
As many of you probably experienced, around 5am Tuesday morning a Semi-Truck struck an overpass bridge and then caught fire near Lansing on I-96. The 2 passengers in the Semi were killed in the crash. I-96 was closed for 8 hours and the overpass had to be closed until support beams could be added and installed. There is still little information regarding the cause of the accident.
Let this be a reminder to everyone to take things carefully when driving this winter. I know this sounds corny and has been said a million times, but its worth repeating! Some accidents are unavoidable, but most should never happen.
